A Global Impact

International Bridges to Justice is a global leader in changing access to justice systems, with an impact that spans more than 20 years. Every day, in countries around the world, hundreds of thousands of people are arbitrarily detained, tortured, and denied access to counsel. This problem can be solved by ensuring the protection of vulnerable defendants through prompt access to lawyers in police stations, prisons and courtrooms.

With more than 30,000 legal advocates, IBJ rescues people trapped in failing justice systems at the local level, improves public justice at the national level, and leads a movement for legal rights globally.

With our IBJ JusticeHub digital platform , and our Lawyer2Lawyer Program we are strengthening this global collaboration to achieve ever greater impact. We have over 90 working groups that need help and are looking for collaborators. Please see our Priority JusticeHub projects, so that we can make a difference together.

COVID-19 is also a crisis for Global Justice

Our COVID-19 first responders are working with ministries of justice, bar associations and prisons to ensure access to justice during the pandemic.
