A GLOBAL IMPACT

International Bridges to Justice is a global leader in changing access to justice systems, with an impact that spans more than 20 years. Every day, in countries around the world, hundreds of thousands of people are arbitrarily detained, tortured, and denied access to counsel. This problem can be solved by ensuring the protection of vulnerable defendants through prompt access to lawyers in police stations, prisons and courtrooms.

With more than 30,000 legal advocates, IBJ rescues people trapped in failing justice systems at the local level, improves public justice at the national level, and leads a movement for legal rights globally.

With our IBJ JusticeHub digital platform , and our Lawyer2Lawyer Program we are strengthening this global collaboration to achieve ever greater impact. We have over 90 working groups that need help and are looking for collaborators. Please see our Priority JusticeHub projects, so that we can make a difference together.

The theme is ‘Building Stronger Communities: Harnessing Student Potential to Reinforce Government Initiatives in Juvenile Justice’. We have invited a practicing lawyer in Rwanda and a University of Rwanda School of law lecturer to train our young justice defenders. This training was supervised by our mentor from Rwanda Bridges to Justice Counsel Joelle Kabagambe.

🌍 International Youth Day 🌍 To mark this d 🌍 International Youth Day 🌍

To mark this day, we present to you our youth-led initiative, who have collaborated with children all around the world to write our #ibjyouthcharter. What you can do on this day is to sign our youth charter, showing that you stand against imprisoned youth injustice (link in bio).

🙏 Donations to our youth program will go to the “Youth Charter Defenders”, our network of youths around the world with innovative projects in the name of justice. From building the first juvenile courts in their villages, reporting juvenile prison abuse on national media, and providing free legal aid to convicted children, these Youth Charter Defenders all have innovative projects which revolutionise Youth Justice in their local communities. Your contributions to help these projects continue for years to come are deeply appreciated.

✍️ Sign the youth charter, and together we will mark change!
