Galle, Sri Lanka – On August 27th, 2010, at the Galle branch office of Janasansadaya, in Sri Lanka, victims of police brutality and of torture were invited to participate in a support group.  Here, these victims share their experiences, and work together to help Janasansadaya in their criminal justice reform effort.  People from this group have helped to organize grassroots movement and information campaigns about human rights, and accompany Janasansadaya on many of their public manifestations.  JusticeMaker Fellow Harshi Perera participated by talking about her project, and informing the public of the present situation with prison conditions and police violence in Sri Lanka.14 of the meeting’s participants were eager to talk about their experiences, even in front of the camera:
