After eight weeks of endless fundraising, the Skoll Social Entrepreneurs Challenge is finally over and we couldn’t be more excited about the results. With everyone’s support and donations, IBJ raised $126,218, coming in 6th place out of a total of 57 organizations competing to raise the most money! This has been overall an amazing experience and accomplishment for us. The money raised allows us to continue supporting and building programs that provide due process rights and protection from torture for the poorest of the poor in remote corners of the world.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and supported us throughout this challenge and welcome to the IBJ team!

We would also like to thank the Skoll Foundation and congratulate all the organizations that shared this journey with us. Collectively we raised $2,230,774, earning an additional $1 million match from the Skoll Foundation. Subtracting the $250,000 prize money for the top 5 organizations, $750,000 was split among all 57 participants equally, awarding IBJ and other organizations another $17,543 to be added towardsour fundraising total. This is incredible work by all social entrepreneurs supporting great causes.

Following the success of the campaign, we are setting up a new Crowdrise fundraising page. Missed out on donating and want to continue supporting IBJ? No need to worry – you can still donate to our main Crowdrise page at www.crowdrise.com/internationalbridges

From everyone at IBJ, thank you again for your time and support throughout this competition. Our work does not end here though. Keep on with us now. Justice can’t wait.
