3. Leave a Legacy
A legacy is a charitable gift made through one’s will. The gift may be of property, a percentage of the donor’s estate, a residual of the estate, or a specific amount.
4. Stocks / Bonds Donations
Giving appreciating assets can be a tax-efficient way to make charitable donations. Donating a part of your portfolio that has increased in value can reduce the capital gains tax that you would owe if they were sold. As IBJ is a registered US charity, U.S. taxpayers will be entitled to a tax deduction for their full current market value to the extent allowed by law. In order to donate stocks/bonds/mutual funds, please contact us at internationalbridges@ibj.org
5. In-Kind
Underfunded legal aid programs in developing countries lack the technological tools to serve their clients, which include: computers, telephones, investigative equipment such as tape recorders, video cameras, etc. Any such materials (new or second-hand) are of interest to our in-country programs.
To leave your legacy, make stocks/bonds or in-kind contributions, please contact us at internationalbridges@ibj.org
