About Latifah

Latifah has been a lawyer since 1993. She is the Director at Alliance of Democracy for Papua (AIDP).

Latifah was also a recipient of IBJ’s 2021 JusticeMakers Fellowship award as part of the EU sponsored project “Advancing Access to Justice for Women in Indonesia”.

The Innovation: “Strengthening Access to Justice for the Fulfillment of Women’s Rights”

Based in Jayapura City, Jayapura Regency and Keerom Regency, Latifah’s project aims to reduce negative stigma and stereotypes against women victims and women in conflict with the law. The intiative will contribute to provide fulfilment of the rights of women victims, as well as women and vulnerable groups in conflict with the law. It will also ensure legal processes are effectively upheld, and raise legal awareness in the community.
