The eviction of illegal squatting communities has been a major problem for the Indonesian state. Many other squatting communities in Jakarta have reacted violently in opposition to their relocation. LBH Masyarakat has been instrumental in avoiding that outcome for Mustika. The community is attempting to peacefully negotiate the terms of their removal.
